Riddle dated September 4th, 2009

Seven times I can be found,
There in the Scriptures written down,
Both in the Old Testament and the New.

Job mentioned me in suffering,
In Proverbs my pain, in Isaiah my sting,
While Ezekiel wrote of the grief I bring to you.

Hosea writes of how I would grow,
To defile a special place below,
And Micah wrote of my edge don't you see?

Last of all came Apostle Paul,
And he described me best of all,
Now tell me what it is that I might be?
