Radio ad introduces 'good Christian' J.D. Hayworth
Republican Senate challenger J.D. Hayworth on Tuesday unveiled his first radio ad. The 60-second spot leaves listeners with no doubt that Hayworth is a staunch social conservative. It highlights the former 12-year congressman and broadcaster's Christian religion, support of traditional marriage and opposition to abortion rights.

Hayworth is running against four-term Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., the 2008 GOP presidential nominee.

Here's a transcript of the campaign commercial, which can be heard at Hayworth's Web site:

ANNOUNCER: "Daniel Webster once said, 'What makes men good Christians, makes them good citizens.' Meet a good Christian and a good neighbor, J.D. Hayworth. Unlike some leaders who shy away from their faith, J.D. Hayworth embraces it. J.D. Hayworth accepted Christ as a young boy and later met his wife, Mary, at church. After nearly losing a daughter early in pregnancy, and a son in childbirth, J.D. and Mary were sustained by prayer and came to value God's gift of life even more. God gave us the covenant of marriage and the blessing of children. That's why J.D. Hayworth supports traditional marriage and defends the right to life of the unborn. And J.D. Hayworth will always defend our right to honor God in the public square, public schools and public life. Faithful, conservative leadership. J.D. Hayworth for U.S. Senate."

HAYWORTH: "I'm J.D. Hayworth and I approved this message. Paid for by J.D. Hayworth 2010."

Every bit as appropriate as those who run on the religion of humanism under the guise of pro-abortionists. I say run Hayworth, RUN! Go McCain, Go, Go, Go away!

Put Hayworth and McCain up front in a town hall meeting then you'll know.  McCain is too middle of the road and lost a lot of respect they way he pushed blaim down on Palin.  I always say if it is in your heart it will show in your character.  If you are Christian deep into your DNA then it will reflect in your Character.

We need more leaders that have character, not those who act like one...

I like the ad.  It lets you know where he stands and you can vote for him if you agree.  For those who don't agree, they can vote for someone else.  I like a guy that will stand up for what he believes and let people know it.  If he can't stand up in his campaign then how can he stand up in the Senate.  We need strong people in the Senate and in Congress.  The reason it is so currupt is that so many of them say they are going to change things and when they get there they cave to the status quo.
